The Assessment Process
What Happens During Your Assessment
The Kinetic Blueprint Report is built around the Kinetisense movement screen. Clinical findings from that screen — combined with Dr. Bekkum’s manual measurements — determine whether a 3D foot scan is added. Total time: 30 minutes.
Kinetisense Movement Screen
~20 minutes — always performedFull-body AI-powered movement analysis. Captures movement quality score, bilateral asymmetry index, balance, range of motion, and reaction time in real time. This is the core of every Kinetic Blueprint Report — every patient receives a complete Kinetisense screen. You see your data as it’s captured.
Clinical Findings Review & Manual Measurements
~10 minutes — always performedDr. Bekkum reviews your Kinetisense data alongside clinical manual measurements. If movement findings indicate foot mechanics, gait asymmetry, or structural load issues, a Footmaxx AcquireTD 3D foot scan is ordered. This step determines the rest of your assessment protocol.
Footmaxx AcquireTD 3D Foot Scan If Indicated
~15 minutes — added when findings warrantWhen Kinetisense movement data and manual measurements show foot or biomechanical involvement, Dr. Bekkum performs a bilateral 3D foot scan using the Footmaxx AcquireTD system — capturing your foot structure in both non-weight-bearing and loaded positions. The deformation between those two scans reveals exactly how your foot mechanics are contributing to the pattern identified in your Kinetisense screen.
Kinetic Blueprint Report Findings Review
~15 minutes — always performedDr. Bekkum walks through your complete report — movement data, clinical findings, and foot scan results if obtained. You leave with your data, normative benchmarks, and a clear clinical recommendation. PDF delivered via secure patient portal.
